Helvetian × The Next Step Network: Honoring Legacy Through Film

We are excited to share that The Next Step Network has officially featured Erik Bello and the Helvetian Film project in their latest publication.

This past year, Erik expanded his craft through two very different yet equally exciting projects — from a comedy with Nicholas Stoller starring William Ferrell and Zac Efron, to a gripping horror feature where he plays the lead detective. These roles showcased his versatility, passion, and storytelling range.

But the most ambitious undertaking is yet to come: Helvetian, a bold historical action epic about the legendary Swiss Guards. For more than 520 years, these men have stood as protectors of the Church, dedicating years of their lives in service before returning home to begin again.

Helvetian will bring their untold stories to life with visceral battle sequences and heartfelt portrayals of their sacrifices, while also establishing a fund sourced directly from the film to support former Guards in their transition back to civilian life.

As Erik explains, the vision is clear:

“Helvetian aims to do for the Swiss Guards what Top Gun did for the U.S. Navy — create a cultural phenomenon that not only entertains but also honors real heroes.”
